Steve Kessler Scholarship

The Steve Kessler Scholarship is a new opportunity for the upcoming scholarship cycle, supporting students in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program. In memory of Steve Kessler—a 26-year veteran firefighter with the DeKalb Fire Department and one of the first EMT/paramedics in DeKalb County—three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded for Spring 2026. This scholarship celebrates Steve’s legacy of service and dedication while helping future EMS professionals follow in his footsteps.
