Ruth I. Hall Scholarship
Nurturing a lifelong desire to help others, Ruth I. Hall began her nursing career at the Geneva Hospital in Kenosha Wisconsin in the OB/Pediatrics department. She joined the Army Nursing Corp in 1942 where she served until 1962 and retired holding the rank of Major. Once retired from the military, Ruth continued to care for others at the Sherman Hospital in Elgin Illinois. In 1980 she returned home to the family farm in Sycamore to care for ailing family. Her desire to help young nursing students continues through her endowment at the Kishwaukee College Foundation.
